Fans have questioned Kylie Jenner and Doja Cat over their recent interaction at Paris Fashion Week.
Over the weekend, the couple posed separately in looks from French fashion house Schiaparelli at the brand’s couture show.
Jenner wore a black gown that featured a realistic bust of a lion’s head on her torso, while Doja was adorned with 30,000 red Swarovski crystals that covered her head, face, neck, shoulders, arms, and cleavage. The look, which was dubbed “Doja’s Hell”, also saw the singer wearing a red silk bodice and a skirt covered in lacquered wooden beads.
As documented in a recent video posted by a fan On twitter, the two women had a brief interaction at the event where they briefly posed for the camera, before offering each other slight smiles and nods. They both said “nice to see you” to each other and then walked in opposite directions.
The video shows another clip of the couple in the audience at the fashion show, where a woman sat between them. The women could be seen taking a selfie with just Jenner and then a selfie with just Doja.
The caption over the video mocked the trio, saying: “POV – You’re sitting between Kylie and Doja Cat at the Schiaparelli show.”
On Twitter, many fans have now reposted the video and joked about the brief conversation between the celebrities.
“You can feel that uncomfortable tension,” one person wrote, while another claimed: “When in fact it’s not good to see each other.”
“Clashing with former mutualists at the function,” joked a third person.
Other fans made jokes about why the celebs exchanged so few words in the video, one saying, “The energy of this… Kylie’s mad because she thought her moment with the little lion would be the center of attention.”
Many expressed amusement at the woman who sat between Doja and Jenner in the audience.
“The way Doja ignored her while she was busy talking shit to Kylie Kenner is the best moment,” one said.
“This video is very funny. Doja Cat completely red and covered in glitter. The fucking elevator music. Kylie Jenner has a giant lion head on her lap for some damn reason,” added another.
After the fashion show, Jenner also made headlines for her lion-headed gown, with critics accusing Schiaparelli of launching a collection promoting “trophy hunting.”
In her private Instagram Story, Carrie Johnson, the wife of former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, condemned the collection and shared a photo of model Irina Shayk in the dress. In the caption of the photo, she wrote: “Gloomy! Real or fake, this just promotes trophy hunting. Yuck!”
Amid the criticism, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) defended Jenner and all the models who wore the animal head dresses. PETA president Ingrid Newkirk praised the fashion house, calling her outfits “fabulously innovative.”
Kylie, Naomi [Campbell] and Irina’s look celebrates the beauty of wild animals and can be a statement against trophy hunting, in which lions and wolves are torn to pieces to satisfy human selfishness,” he said. Page six style.
